Take Threats Seriously!

(Physicians and Domestic Violence: Ethical Considerations", Journal of the American Medical Assn., 267:23, June 1992, reprinted in Trends in Health Care, Law & Ethics, Vol. 8, No.2, Spring 1993, p.12.
What can you do if you are being threatened? Take the threats seriously!

The first inclination is to seek help and safety with family or friends, but this may put them in danger also.

The safest action is to contact your local shelter. If you do not know where to find one in your locale, contact the National Domestic Violence Hotline at 1-800-799-SAFE (7233) for the number. includes links to other websites on the Internet that are owned and operated by third parties. and The King's Gardeners Ministries is not responsible for and does not guarantee any of the content on any third-party site. and The King's Gardeners Ministries is not responsible for opinions expressed on this website.
