- Authority of the believer -
This teaching is not going to be my opinion. It is going to strictly be the Word of God. Plant this good seed into your own inner man, ask God for His wisdom in administering your God given authority properly.
Mark 13:34 [For the Son of man is] as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch.
Jewish Bible Version - Mark 13:34 It's like a man who travels away from home, puts his servants in charge, each with his own task, and tells the doorkeeper to stay alert.
Amplified Bible Version - Mark 13:34 It is like a man already going on a journey; when he leaves home, he puts his servants in charge, each with his particular task, and he gives orders to the doorkeeper to be constantly alert and on the watch.
I Corinthians 15:24 Then [cometh] the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.
Jewish Bible version - 1 Cor 15:20-28 But the fact is that the Messiah has been raised from the dead, the first fruits of those who have died. For since death came through a man, also the resurrection of the dead has come through a man. For just as in connection with Adam all die, so in connection with the Messiah all will be made alive. But in his own order; the Messiah is the first fruits; then those who belong to the Messiah, at the time of his coming' then the culmination, when he hands over the Kingdom to God the Father, after having put an end to every rulership, yes, to every authority and power. For he has to rule until he puts all his enemies under his feet. The last enemy to be done away with will be death, for "He put everything in subjection under his feet." But when it says that "everything" has been subjected, obviously the word does not include God, who is Himself the one subjecting everything to the Messiah. Now when everything has been subjected to the Son, then he will subject himself to God, who subjected everything to him' so that God may be everything to everyone.
Amplified Bible version - 1 Cor 15:20-28 But the fact is that Christ the Messiah has been raised from the dead, and He became the first fruits of those who have fallen asleep in death. For since it was through a man that death came into the world, it is also through a Man that the resurrection of the dead has come. For just as (because of their union of nature) in Adam all people die, so also (by virtue of their union of nature) shall all in Christ be made alive? But each in his own rank and turn: Christ (the Messiah is the first fruits, then those who are Christ's own will be resurrected at His coming. After that comes the end, the completion, when He delivers over the kingdom to God the Father after rendering inoperative and abolishing every other rule and every authority and power. For Christ must be King and reign until He has put all His enemies under His feet. The last enemy to be subdued and abolished is death. For He (the Father has put all things in subjection under His (Christ's) feet. But when it says, ALL things are put in subjection under Him, it is evident that He is excepted. Who does the subjecting of all things to Him. However, when everything is subjected to Him, then the Son Himself will also subject Himself to the Father Who put all things under Him, so that God may be all in all (be everything to everyone, supreme, the indwelling and controlling factor of life).
Luke 10:19 Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
Complete Jewish Bible -Luke 10:17-19 The seventy came back jubilant, Lord they said, with Your power, even the demons submit to us! Yeshua said to them, I saw satan fall like lightning from heaven. Remember, I have given you authority; so you can trample down snakes and scorpions, indeed, all the enemy's forces' and you will remain completely unharmed. Never the less, don't be glad that the spirits submit to you;
Amplified Bible -Luke 10:17-19 John 16:23 And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give [it] you.
In John 16 Jesus is telling his followers that he is going to leave them. He tells them in John 16 that when He does leave He is going to give them a lot of things. One of them is all authority to every work Jesus did and more.
John 16:23 - Jewish Bible When that day comes, you won't ask anything of me! Yes, indeed! I tell you that whatever you ask from the Father, he will give you in my name. Till now you haven't asked for anything in my name. Keep asking, and you will receive, so that your joy may be complete.
John 16:23 - Amplified Bible, And when that time comes, you will ask nothing of Me you will need to ask Me no questions. I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, that My Father will grant you whatever you ask in My Name as presenting all that I AM. Up to this time you have not asked a single thing in My Name as presenting all that I AM; but now ask and keep on asking and you will receive, so that your joy gladness and delight may be full and complete.
John 14:10-14 Jewish Bible - Don't you believe that I am united with the Father, and the Father united with me? What I am telling you, I am not saying on my own initiative; the Father living in me is doing his own works. Trust me that I am united with the Father, and the Father united with me. But if you can't then trust because of the works themselves. Yes indeed! I tell you that whoever trusts in me will also do the works I do! Indeed, he will do greater ones, because I am going to the Father. In fact, whatever you ask for in my name, I will do; so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask for something in my name, I will do it.
John 14:10-14 Amplified Bible - Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in Me? What I am telling you I do not say on My own authority and of My own accord; but the Father Who lives continually in Me does His own works His own miracles, deeds of power. Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father in Me; or else believe Me for the sake of the very works themselves. If you cannot trust Me, at least let these works that I do in My Father's name convince you. I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, if anyone steadfastly believes in Me, he will himself be able to do the things that I do; and he will do even greater things than these, because I go to the Father. And I will do I Myself will grant whatever you ask in My Name as presenting all that I AM so that the Father may be glorified and extolled trough the Son. Yes I will grant I Myself will do for you whatever you shall ask in My Name as presenting all I am.
Father God give us Your Wisdom to administer Your Authority correctly.
Thank You heavenly Father for authority and Thank You Son of God for making it available to us in Your precious Name. Amen!!!
