- What we Believe about marriage-

We believe that marriage is sacred and lifetime in duration. The Word of God reveals that God originally established marriage without provision for divorce. To strive for Gods best should be the goal of every believer in Almighty God Creator of the Universe, mankind and whose Son Jesus Christ came as our perfect sacrifice for sin.

We know that the Word says the altar of God weeps because of divorce. (Original Hebrew translation of Malachi 2:13 )

We know that Malachi 2:16 says that God hates divorce and permanent marital separation.  That should be good enough for any believer to reject the notion that God would order, accept or bless no-fault divorce.

We know that sin caused divorce to enter this worlds economy and our position is that God defeated sin through Jesus Christ and will defeat the sins involved in separation and divorce.

Historically it is recorded that if a person falsely accused their spouse of grounds considered biblical (by what is referred to as Moses Law) and that accusation was proven false there were severe punishments for the accuser.  The marriage was restored the innocent spouse was given payment (and the parents of that spouse).  An order was given that there could never be a divorce for the lifetime of the couple.  To imply that God would agree that no-fault divorce is acceptable goes against what is written in the Biblical text and confirmed by Jesus Christ .

God hates divorce and permanent marital separation.  His Word is the ultimate expression of rule for our lives.  Because we also believe that the higher rule of order is Gods and compromise is of man we believe there is no marriage that is beyond repair.

God calls Christians to be repairers of the breach and restorers of streets to dwell in. (Isaiah 58) Repentance + forgiveness leading directly to restoration are keys to our salvation and are also keys to marriage  restoration.

We believe that marriage is sacred and violation of it is unacceptable to God.  We ask that you respect the belief that God's Covenant of Marriage is sacred and is a lifetime commitment.  The debate over standing for first marriages only is not addressed on this site.  We believe that those called to stand for covenant will obey God and stand.

We believe that NOTHING is impossible for our God!  That mans will is not greater than God and that any rebellious child of God will be treated exactly as God treated the nation of Israel during their times of rebellion.

We believe in the power of prayer and agreement with the Word of God.

We believe that Gods covenant of marriage is identical to the covenant God made with Israel.  Proof of this is found in Hosea and in many other places throughout the Biblical text.

After exhaustive research we have found that the passage in Jeremiah used to say God divorced Israel therefore God divorced is used out of context, is a mistranslation and historically proven incorrect.  This heresy would indicate that God broke the covenant he established with Himself.  That Gods word is no good and that we have no hope in our salvation because of an unfaithful God.  We believe that God is true to His Word, His everlasting Covenant and we are part of it with Israel.  The covenant of marriage is identical to the covenant God has with Israel.  (Hosea and other references)

We believe the laws of God are still in effect and are as effective now as they were when God put them in place at creation.

We believe that choosing this day blessing or cursing as described in Deuteronomy 28 is as valid today as when God first ordained it.

We believe that Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of the One True Living God.

We believe that Jesus Christ was born of a virgin and his conception and birth was through the plan of God administered by the Holy Spirit of God.

We believe that the entire Biblical text is valid with no distinction between what is called the Old and the New Testament.  We believe that both are a testament to God, are valid and applicable to our lives in a positive way.

Jesus became the perfect sacrifice and according to Our Lords own words did not come to destroy the law but to fulfill it.  He is our example of perfection not destruction.

We believe that there is no distinction between male or female Jew or Gentile. (Galatians 3:28)  We believe that God created male and female in His image and likeness and called Ish good.  Authority over all creation was given to Adamah prior to Ishah (Eve) being taken out of his being.  Nowhere is the authority for the combined Adamah changed because the combined Adamah now walked in the form of man and woman.

In addition we are all redeemed from the curse of sin and death in Jesus Christ our Lord.  (Luke 1:68-79 and 1 Peter 1:17-25).

We believe that everyone claiming the salvation of God through Jesus Christ has a basic call upon their lives as recorded in 1 Peter 1:13-1

We believe that the vows of marriage said between believers before God are inviolate.  For better or worse, richer or poorer, in sickness and in health, forsaking all others until death us do part hold true for both the Stander and their spouse with God as ultimate witness and Judge.

We are not interested in theological debates about the positive merits of divorce.  God has clearly stated that He hates divorce and permanent marital separation.  No Christian should consider doing what God hates.  Provision for divorce came through the sin of hard heartedness and only the innocent party was afforded that provision.

Jesus told us (Matthew 19) that from the beginning God did not ordain divorce.

Following Biblical guidelines for the sin of hard heartedness the list of circumstances where divorce would be forbidden is long.  The list of circumstances where divorce is allowed is short and the consequences for the guilty party are severe.

No-fault divorce is absolutely against Gods laws and His character.

Historically marital separation had one goal - restoration. (1 Cor. 7:10) The "church" leadership was closely involved in that restoration and the disciplines involved in that restoration.

We walk this path one day at a time believing that NOTHING is impossible for our God!
